AFERIM, VYING FOR OSCAR GOLD IN 2016

"Aferim!" has entered the competition for the 2016 Oscar nominees in the "Best Foreign Language Film" category. Radu Jude's feature film was chosen from among the 14 entries in this year's domestic selection process."Aferim!" is a historical drama set in the early 19th Century Wallachia. A sergeant, played by Teodor Corban, and his son are chasing after a fugitive slave. The script was written by Radu Jude and Florin Lazarescu.
