A woman from Dolj County was buried in a field, although her family had bought a burial plot in the Orthodox cemetery. The local priest would not bury her there because the woman had embraced the Baptist faith. The Mayor himself could not persuade the good father to reconsider his decision. The outraged villagers who witnessed the incident filed a complaint to the Dolj County Health Department.
