A wonderful rendition of George Enescu's Ballad for Violin and Orchestra resounded on the stage of the Romanian Athenaeum as part of the International Festival bearing the great Romanian composer's name. Music flowed from the magic strings of the fastest violinist in the world, David Garrett, who stole the show in what turned out to be a memorable concert. Garrett played his 300 year-old violin worth 3 million pounds and promised a repeat performance in Bucharest.
