Prosecutor Dan Voinea is outraged that the "Miners' Raid" case was kept under wraps for 25 years and was reopened only after the European Court of Human Rights asked Romania to resume investigations. Voinea is the magistrate who decided in 2007, for the first time, to start a criminal investigation against former President Ion Iliescu, after many years of laborious work putting the case together.
